Tom Holland Reportedly NOT Returning to ‘Spider-Man,’ Replaced for Upcoming Series

Even though the MCU is always adding new films and TV shows, not every actor can reprise their role as their favorite superhero. According to recent rumors, Tom Holland will not be participating in the next Spider-Man film.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) reshaped the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Collection, cementing Tom Holland’s position as a leading man of his generation’s entertainment industry. Holland’s meteoric rise to fame following his Marvel debut in Captain America: Civil War (2016) has seen him linked to blockbuster projects like Avengers: Endgame (2019) and the surprisingly successful Uncharted (2022) picture.

Soon after Holland completed filming the third and final installment of his Spider-Man trilogy, Marvel Studios announced that he will return for a second solo series. Additionally, Spider-Man: Freshman Year has been ordered for Disney+, although recent rumors have suggested that Tom Holland will not be providing his famous character’s voice.

Since Hudson Thames voices Spider-Man in Marvel’s animated series What If…? on Disney+, it’s possible that he, and not Tom Holland, will be heard by Marvel fans everywhere in Spider-Man: First Year.
